Why Sail Greece Yacht Charters?

Sail Greece Yachts was formed 25 years ago by two close friends who love sailing, Giannis Makridakis and Vassilis Patiniotis. We try to think like customers and we care about making friends that enjoy sailing rather than clients. We charter our own privately owned sailing yachts without any commission so you can rely on reasonable rental prices and immediate and personal support.

Sailing Charters to the Greek Islands

Greece is home to over 1400 islands running from isolated islets to the famous and glamourous islands of Santorini and Mykonos. No matter what your tastes run to: secluded beaches, nightlife and culture, archeological and historical sites... or a combination of everything together, you will find a suitable island in Greece. We guarantee, if you like sailing, you are going to love sailing in Greece!

A great advantage of yacht charters in Greece is the small distances between many of the islands. If you have a week (or even a weekend!) you may easily visit islands in the Saronic Gulf or the Cyclades from Athens.

If you have longer than a week then take your time and relax, exploring the greek islands in greater detail, or visit more islands to tick them off your holiday checklist! We invite you to browse our suggested sailing routes with details on islands and highlights and then charter a yacht with our form or contact us with any further questions.

For more inspiration on sailing in Greece have a look at the great Visit Greece or get visually inspired with some greek island themed flickr photos. For the more practically minded, the fantastic cruisers wiki offers many details on sailing in greece and the marinas and facilities available on various islands. We look forward to welcoming you to Athens and waving you off to the beautiful islands here soon!

About our Yachts

We take care of our yachts as if they are our own... because they are!

We own all the yachts we charter, with no commission, meaning better (to not say downright cheap!) charter prices.

All our boats are in tip top shape, come with all the needed equipment and can be outfitted with extras if needed.

Bareboat or Skippered?

We offer both bareboat and skippered yacht charters depending on the need of each client and group.

Bareboat yacht charters require at least one member of the rental party to have a valid International Certificate of Competence or a national equivalent. It is desirable for at least one other crew member to have a competent crew member qualification.

If you are new to sailing or want to kick back and relax, we work with a select group of skippers who will be happy to show you the best of the Greek islands no matter what your taste!

Contact us for any questions, we are always happy to assist.
